Gold Plated

La Parure's pieces are made in 18k gold plating which contains 75% of gold mixed with other metals plated over brass using rack plating for better color protection. It's more tarnish resistant and long lasting compared to normal gold plating.

Care

  • Sweat and water, no thank you. Before exercising or showering, remove your jewellery.
  • Avoid perfume, lotion, oil or any other cosmetic products that may cause a reaction with your jewellery.
  • Clean your piece by buffing gently with a dry cloth and store it in your box

    Rhodium plated

Our rhodium plated pieces are plated with rhodium on brass that guards against scratches that also gives a reflective white appearance. Rhodium is a precious metal that is in the family of platinum.

We do not recommend using a silver polishing cloth on this material as it will rub the plating off the base metal.

    Sterling Silver

925 Sterling Silver is an alloy made of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% copper. We plate our silver jewelry in rhodium, which gives it extra shine and durability. Rhodium is one of the costliest precious metals due to its rarity. It's hypoallergenic and tarnish-proof.

    Care

    • It will be oxidised upon contact with air and water for long hours, you can polish it with lemon juice, toothpaste or soap or silver polishing cloth remove the oxide layer that may form on top of the metal to restore its shininess.
    • However, the oils in your skin help keep sterling silver from oxidizing faster. So, wear often, and keep your piece in your LaParure jewellery box to keep oxygen at bay.

    Jewellery Care Tips

Delicate care is recommended when handling your jewellery especially with designs that feature thin chains and connections. Here are some basic tips we adhere to:
Avoid direct contact  with harsh chemicals like  detergent, acidic solutions or perfume.
    Avoid scraching, hammering or hitting.
Remove before showering, swimming or sport to prevent snagging the chains by accident.
    Remove it before sleeping.
Wipe with a dry tissue and store in a cool, dry place preferably in a pouch or jewellery box.
Store them along with the anit-tarnish square to prevent it from being oxidezed in the air.
